Saved and Called

This weekend is an important moment in our ongoing Ephesians 4 Project, in which we are discovering together how every member has a unique place and role in the body of Christ. On Saturday 3 October, during our Church Family Day, we will reflect on Ephesians 4:1–6 and explore what it means to be the multicoloured church of Christ, a church in which each person, with their unique gifts, background and calling, has a place.  

And on Sunday 4 October, we continue this theme in our worship service with 2 Timothy 1:1-10. Paul reminds Timothy and us: “He saved us and called us to a holy calling.”  We are not only saved from something. We are also saved for something. Jesus has saved us, and He has called us. Each of us is invited to discover where God is calling us and to take our place in his mission. 

What is God calling you to?

What gifts has he given you? 

And what might it look like for you to say: 

“Here I am. Send me.” 

Come and worship with us as we celebrate that we are saved and called, and discover together what that means for our lives and for our church. You are saved. You are called. You have a place in the body of Christ.

Announcements Sunday October 4th

Church Family Day on October 3 at 10:00 AM at Wijkrestaurant - The church leadership warmly calls and encourages all our members to attend. Just as we make time to travel and gather with our nuclear and extended families, we also need to make time for our Church Family Day. This allows us to step away from our usual routines, spend extended time together as one family, and strengthen our relationships with one another and with God. Don’t be left behind!
