Looking for Welcoming Team Members

Your warm hello could be the start of someone’s journey with God

The Welcoming Team is the first point of contact for everyone entering our church doors. As part of this team, you’ll help create a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere for both regular attendees and first-time visitors. Whether it's greeting people with a smile, helping newcomers find their way, or answering basic questions, your presence makes a big difference. This team sets the tone for the worship experience by reflecting the love of Christ through hospitality and genuine connection.

Your Responsibilities

As a member of the Welcoming Team, you’ll:

  • Greet people as they arrive with warmth and kindness
  • Offer guidance to newcomers and help them feel at home
  • Answer simple questions about the church or service
  • Help direct attendees to seats, children’s ministry, or other areas
  • Stay attentive to the needs of individuals, especially those who seem unsure or new
  • Support the flow of the service by being available and ready to serve

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for team members who are passionate about making others feel welcome and valued. The ideal volunteer has:

  • Friendliness: A welcoming smile and positive attitude
  • Dependability: Punctual and reliable in showing up and fulfilling responsibilities
  • Awareness: Observant and ready to help when someone needs support
  • Team Spirit: Cooperative and able to work well with others
  • Respectfulness: Kind and patient toward people of all backgrounds
  • A Servant Heart: A desire to serve others as a reflection of God’s love

Whether you’re outgoing or quietly kind, there’s a place for you on this team!
