Psalm 84

This Sunday we read Psalm 84: a song of longing to feel at home with God and to encounter Him as a living God in our lives. In addition, this psalm is also a song of hope in difficult circumstances. The psalmist describes a valley of barrenness through which one had to pass before he could come to an encounter with God. A longing, but perhaps also circumstances we recognize in our own lives or around us.

On Sunday we reflect on the invitation and challenge of pilgrimage in our lives and the encouragement. For apparently, when we must trek through a valley of dryness, blessing can also arise in that valley of difficulty.
