WHAT IS ALPHA?

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Run over 12 weeks, each session looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation. It is an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

WHO IS ALPHA FOR?

The Alpha course is intended for anyone who would like to know more about the Christian faith. You are welcome, whoever you are and whatever you believe. View stories from people who took the Alpha course here.

WHAT DOES ALPHA COST?

Participation in the course is completely free; we provide the course material and the food. (There is an opportunity to give a voluntary contribution for the meal).

IN WHAT LANGUAGE IS THE COURSE GIVEN?

Our Alpha course is bilingual, English/Dutch.

DATES, TIMES and LOCATION

The course runs  over 12 weeks on Tuesday evenings (from the introduction evening on March 28 until June 6) and 1 Saturday (May 13).  The location is Wijkrestaurant ‘Bij de Provenier’, Proveniersstraat 6, 3033 CJ Rotterdam (the street directly behind Rotterdam CS)

WHAT DOES AN EVENING LOOK LIKE?

You are welcome to walk in from around 18:15. We sit down for a nice dinner at 18:30. After dinner there will be an introduction about one of the basics of the Christian faith. Then follows the discussion in small groups in which all questions and thoughts can be exchanged. We try to be ready around 20:30 pm but there is every opportunity to talk over a snack and a drink
